This guide explains how to filter stocks by setting minimum and maximum market capitalisation values in the Quant Investing stock screener.

Steps to Filter by Market Capitalization

Follow these steps to set a market cap range for your stock screen.

Log in to the Stock Screener
Go to the Quant Investing website and sign in to your account.

Open the Screener

Click the Screener icon (small funnel) at the top left.

Locate the Market Value Column

Find the Market Value (000) field and enter the minimum market value you want to screen for. All companies will have a market value bigger than this value.

Enter the Maximum Value

Add the Market Value (USD) column as an output column. Below the Market Value column heading, enter your maximum market value and select the smaller than "<" sign. Remember to enter the amount in thousands.

What is 'MV Size' and how does it differ from exact value filtering?
'MV Size' lets you filter by company size by using the sliders.
What format should I use for market cap values?
Enter the value as a number, without commas or currency symbols in thousands (000). For example, enter 1000000 for one billion.
Can I filter by market cap in a specific currency?
Yes, use the appropriate Market Value column (e.g., Market Value (USD), Market Value (EUR)) to filter in your preferred currency.
